Chain and necklace manufacturer for US brands

Necklaces are often the first category a jewelry brand launches and the one it reorders most. A good pendant on a well-made chain is giftable, easy to size and photographs beautifully. But the chain itself is where many brands cut corners and pay for it later in returns: kinked links, weak clasps and chains that sit badly on the neck. If you are looking for a chain and necklace manufacturer, you need one that treats the chain as a product, not an afterthought.

The Accessory Consultant is a custom jewelry manufacturer with a factory in Mumbai, India. We manufacture necklaces, pendants and chains for US brands, D2C labels and wholesale buyers, serving clients across the US remotely. We have no US office.

The terms that apply to every necklace program:

  • MOQ from 50 units per design
  • About 18 days from CAD to delivery for a typical program (international shipping to the US is separate and confirmed once the method is known)
  • NDAs offered for private label and OEM programs

What we make

Pendant necklaces. Initial, charm, coin, medallion and stone pendants. The pendant is your brand's design; we build it in CAD and pair it with a chain that suits its weight.

Layering chains. Fine chains sold alone or as layering sets, often in two or three lengths. Consistency across lengths matters when customers combine them.

Statement necklaces. Collars, multi-strand designs and stone-heavy pieces for fashion collections.

Men's chains. Heavier link chains in sterling silver, stainless steel or solid gold.

Chokers and lariats. Adjustable and specialty styles, where closure and adjustment design is part of the CAD review.

Choosing chain style and weight

Chain choice affects look, durability and price. When you brief us, tell us:

  • Style. Cable, curb, rope, box, paperclip, figaro, snake or another link you want. Reference photos help.
  • Weight and width. Heavier pendants need stronger chains. We check the pairing in CAD and on the sample.
  • Length. List the lengths you want to sell, and whether you want an extender.
  • Clasp. Lobster, spring ring, toggle or another closure. Clasp quality drives returns more than almost anything else, so confirm it on the sample.

How a necklace program runs

  1. Brief: pendant designs, chain style, lengths, clasp, material and quantity per design.
  2. NDA: for private label and OEM programs.
  3. CAD: pendant model and chain pairing renders. Check bail size, pendant orientation and how it hangs.
  4. Sample: a physical necklace ships to you. Wear it. Check how the pendant sits and whether the chain twists.
  5. Production: made and checked against the approved sample.
  6. Delivery: packed and shipped to your US address.

Where necklace programs usually go wrong

Most necklace problems we see in briefs from brands switching suppliers fall into a few patterns. A pendant that is too heavy for its chain flips over or pulls the chain into a V. A bail that is too small will not let the pendant move, so it sits crooked. Layering sets in different lengths that were made at different times do not match in colour. Clasps that are too small for adult fingers frustrate customers and drive returns. Each of these is cheap to fix at CAD or sample stage and expensive to fix after a full production run, which is why we ask you to wear the sample for a day before approving it.

Personalised and initial necklaces

Initial and name necklaces are popular in D2C. If personalisation is part of your offer, tell us how it will work. A fixed set of initials can be produced as separate designs; fully custom names follow a different model. We will discuss what fits your quantities.

Necklaces across US markets

Necklace briefs reflect local taste. San Diego and Miami brands ask for beach layering chains. El Paso and McAllen retailers stock gold chains and religious pendants. Atlanta and Detroit brands want bold men's chains. Charlotte boutiques sell monogram pendants. See all cities on the US hub.
